Flood Warning Widget - for website developers

Our flood warning widget allows you to embed our live Flood Warnings onto a page on your website.

The widget is code that website developers can embed into their website. The widget shows the latest summary of flood alerts and warnings.

1. Pick an area to display (or whole of England)

2. Pick a layout

Select the layout for the widget

3. Copy the code

4. Paste the code in your website

You must be a website administrator, and have access to change the HTML/templates on your website, to use this.

If you are unsure how to add this to your site, please contact your website administrator in the first instance.

The widget uses "http-equiv=refresh" to update the content every 10 minutes. The refresh command means that the Environment Agency web page is reloaded every 10 minutes, Not your own website.

Please note that we use cookies within the widget to track usage. The cookie is served from Google Analytics. If you display this on your website, then users will be served these cookies.

The Flood Widget uses data from the Environment Agency Flood Warning Information System 'FWIS'. Users of the Flood widget should be aware that if the FWIS service is unavailable due to scheduled maintenance or service interruption (however caused) this would result in a temporary loss of the data for this service during this period of downtime.
