About
The New Forest Groundwater Operational Catchment is made up of the South West Hants Barton Group and the South West Hants Solent Group. They are both at good status for both groundwater quality and quantity. Therefore no cost benefit analysis has been carried out. The measures proposed are those required to ensure no deterioration in status and reflect our knowledge of land use and localised pollution problems in the catchment. The main issues we see in the New Forest tend to be around pesticide use, major industry, septic tanks and oil storage.
