    About

This operational catchment spans 65km of the Northumberland Coast from Berwick to Alnmouth. It is largely rural with some small villages including Beadnell, Longhoughton, Lowick & Haggerston. There are several small coastal streams that feed directly into the North Sea and it includes Lindisfarne and the Farne islands which are important for wildlife and Northumberlands tourism industry. Along the coastline there is a risk of tidal flooding and coastal erosion.
