    About

    The River Wye drains a large catchment comprising a rich and varied landscape spanning the Welsh and English borders. It rises at Plynlimon and flows south easterly through Hereford and Monmouth to discharge into the Severn Estuary at Chepstow. The Wye is rich in wildlife with a variety of habitats, being recognised as such as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and Special Area of Conservation (SAC).
