    About

The Ravensbourne Catchment in South London includes the rivers Ravensbourne, Quaggy and Pool. The rivers rise in the London Boroughs of Bromley and Croydon and flow through the London Borough of Lewisham and the Royal Borough of Greenwich to the Thames at Deptford. There are approximately 23 km of heavily modified, semi-naturalised and natural river channels, all designated as heavily modified under the Water Framework Directive. There are several sites of importance for conservation of nature with local or national designations and the surface water is underlain by two groundwater bodies that are used for drinking water supply.
