About
The Seaham, Peterlee and Coastal Area operational catchment contains several short coastal streams that pass through urban areas along the length of the coastline from Hendon to Crimdon Park. The natural limestone geology accounts for the ephemeral nature of some of the coastal streams, such as Castle Eden Burn.
