    About

The Middle Tees operational catchment stretches from the confluences with Deepdale Beck at Barnard Castle to the Skerne at Croft on Tees near Darlington and is typified by more intensive agriculture. Significant tributaries include the River Greta a large proportion of which forms part of the North Pennine Moors SPA & SAC near Bowes. The Langley and Sudburn Beck catchment near Staindrop joins the Tees between Winston and Gainford, and Clow Beck flows parallel and to the south of the Tees before joining at Croft-on-Tees.
