        About

        The Gannel, Porth Stream and Menalhyl are the major rivers in this catchment. The River Gannel rises at Penhale and flows west past Quintrell Downs to the Gannel estuary at Newquay. The Benny Stream joins the Gannel near Trerice. Porth Stream rises near Ruthvoes and flows through a rural landscape to Porth Beach. Porth reservoir is located halfway down the catchment.
