About
The groundwater feeds two tributaries of the river Stour; the Great Stour and East Stour. The groundwater also feeds a series of small streams that drain to the south across the Lower Greensand towards the sea. Fracture flow dominates in the Hythe Formation, whereas intergranular flow dominates in the Folkestone Formation.
