    About

    The Tyne rises in remote moorland landscape from two major tributaries, the North and South Tyne. Other major tributaries include the Rede, Allen and Derwent. The Tyne Catchment covers an area of 2,943km2, and flows in a generally eastward direction through the urban conurbation of Tyneside to the North Sea.
