Seawater temperature trend analysis for the North East Atlantic (North West European Shelf)

Daily temperature estimations (data source: North West Shelf Reanalysis cmems product 004_009) was used to calculate the monthly and seasonal averages at a spatial resolution of 7Km for temperature at sea surface, near sea bed, and for the difference between sea surface and near sea bed. Temperature averages for sea surface were calculated using temperature data from 0 to 10 meters depth. Near sea bed temperature data were used as provided by the data source. Generalized Additive Model (GAM) analysis was applied to the data time series from 1st January 1985 to 30th June 2014 to assess changes as the difference between the last modelled value and the first modelled value in the time series divided by the number of years. Please, note that the trend analysis of the time series does not include the month of December for the first winter of the series (Dec 1984). Format: Zipped netCDF files contain temperature trend analysis (GAM) values for sea surface, near sea bed, and the difference between sea surface and near sea bed as endpoints for the entire time series for each pixel (folder 'all months'), and for specific months and seasons the year for each pixel (folder 'subseries').
