Evidence Project MMO1184 - Identification of areas of aquaculture potential in English waters

Summary

Spatial outputs have been modelled using biological suitability layers, derived as part of MMO1184 Identification of areas of aquaculture potential in English waters, combined with technical suitability and constraints models developed by the MMO. The dataset is a combination of suitable areas modelled for the following species:Sugar kelp (Saccharina latissimi), Oarweed (Laminaria digitata), Winged Kelp (Alaria esculentaI), Dulse (Palmaria palmata), Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar), Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), Brown (sea) trout (Salmo trutta trutta), Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua), European lobster (Homarus gammarus), Pacific oyster (Crassostrea gigas), Native oyster (Ostrea edulis), Blue mussel (Mytilus edulis), Manila clam (Ruditapes philippinarum), King scallop (Pecten maximus).
