Summary management approach
Localised defences and proactive management to further extend the life of defences in the short term may be permitted, subject to consent. Investigate opportunities for phased re-alignment and localised hold the line to address flood risk when defences become uneconomic to maintain in their current alignment. Further studies and monitoring and a long-term solution developed.
