About this subsection
This subsection of shoreline is developed along its whole length and comprised of four key urban areas. These are the commercial centres and residential areas of the City of Brighton and Hove, and the three towns of Shoreham, Worthing, and Littlehampton.
The seafront is industrialised at Shoreham Port. Brighton and Hove include features that support a significant tourist industry. However, the overwhelming urban land use is residential. The harbours at Littlehampton and Shoreham-by-Sea are integral to the economy of the area.
