Summary management approach
Maintain defences under a Hold The Line policy but consider undertaking Managed Realignment in parts of the estuary if appropriate and it is ensured doing so will not reduce flood protection. This potential for localised intertidal habitat creation through active realignment of defences as part of a broader Hold The Line approach requires further study.
